For those who don’t wish to celebrate with alcohol.
A new year means new beginnings. Personally, I want to start 2015 as healthy as I possibly can; to begin it as I mean to go on. I have a lot of damage to undo because of the over indulgences of 2014, so I’ve gone teetotal for a start. I would like to wake on New Year’s Day with a clear head, ready for whatever the year will bring to me.
So, here’s a no-added sugar natural juice virgin cranberry grape bellini mocktail recipe for you! Using my super Froothie Optimum 600 slow juicer this will be the first of many juice recipes I will be sharing over the coming months.
A traditional bellini mixes peach nectar or puree with sparkling wine, but my version uses green grape and peach juice and a touch of tart cranberry for colour and flavour. The grape juice really sweetens the drink so extra sugar syrup or honey isn’t required, as you find in many mocktails. Use sparkling mineral water if you want some fizz, or drink as it is.
If you prefer a juice without any pulp, strain it several times through some cheesecloth. My juice has bits in it since the peaches were fleshy.
Alternatively, you might like to try this lovely pineapple and ginger sparkler by Jacqueline over at Tinned Tomatoes.
Or perhaps this Asian Mango and Coconut Mocktail by Helen over at Fuss Free Flavours.
Judith over at Mostly About Chocolate has no fewer than six grape juice mocktails to share! From left to right we have a Rosé Lychee Cooler, Rosé Summer Garden, White Grape Mojito, The Bolt Reviver, ‘I heard it through the Purple grape vine’ and Purple Grape Rain.
Whatever you decide to celebrate the New Year with I hope it’s a fantastic one, and I wish you all the best for the coming year.
