Godminster Farm has been producing delicious, organic certified, award-winning cheddar since 1999. Enter our giveaway to win a Vintage and Oak-Smoked Cheddar combo gift set worth £24.95!
Whether you’re putting together a cheeseboard or using cheese as an ingredient, Godminster award-winning organic English cheese is always a good choice. Their recipe page is full of ideas, or a cheeseboard is a perfect way to end a meal with friends or family. As an aside, check out their seriously awesome Godminster Celebration Cake – a 2.6kg tower of organic cheese! *swoon*
How you serve your cheese is up to you but lovely fresh bread or some of the Godminster delicious oat digestives or rosemary water biscuits wouldn’t go amiss. Let your imagination run wild when it comes to garnishing – anything goes! Grapes, apples, celery or tomatoes are an easy way to add a splash of colour to a cheeseboard or go for something more unusual like dried fruits or dates. Me, I like adding the crunch of candied nuts to mine, and, of course, a glass of wine.
ABOUT GODMINSTER FARM
Godminster Farm is set on the outskirts of the picturesque town of Bruton in the heart of Somerset. The farm was registered organic in 1999 by its owner Richard Hollingbery whose environmentally friendly and ethical approach to farming meant organic was the only way. With 1300 acres of beautiful landscape, the farm not only homes 280 organic dairy cows but also boasts fruitful orchards filled with a variety of delicious fruits and herbs which are used as inspiration for many of the Godminster products.
The cows at Godminster Farm enjoy a simple and wholesome life and as a result, produce a deliciously creamy milk. The freshness of the milk and the sustainable approach to farming is a major contributor to the delicious and distinctive taste of their award-winning Godminster cheese and they hope you enjoy them as much as they do!
GODMINSTER VINTAGE & OAK-SMOKED CHEDDAR COMBO GIFT SET
This Vintage & Oak-Smoked Cheddar Combo gift set partners two of their award-winning cheddars in one stylish package. Their classic 400-gram Vintage Organic Cheddar is enrobed in its distinctive burgundy wax and the 200-gram Oak-Smoked Cheddar is hand-wrapped in a muslin cloth.
Did you know? Unlike smoke ‘flavoured’ cheese, their Oak-Smoked Vintage Organic Cheddar is naturally cold-smoked over sustainably sourced oak-chippings for up to six hours, which is what gives it that award-winning depth of smoky richness.
