Win a VonShef 750W Food Processor worth £79.99!

Published on August 24, 2017 • Last updated September 26, 2017 by Elizabeth

A review & giveaway in collaboration with Domu.

VonShef 750 W Food Processor

I’ve got a brand new kitchen appliance to tell you all about! I confess I have been without a food processor for a good few years now since my old one packed it in. My husband did his best to repair the old one, but it was several years old, and well used, so its time was up. I also confess that as of late I’ve been missing having a food processor in my kitchen; it is a convenient, quick and easy way to save time on food prep and take the effort out of chopping, grating, slicing, shredding, mixing, blending and juicing ingredients.

VonShef have recently launched a Matte Black Performance Range including the 750W Food Processor, a 1500W Blender, an UltraBlend Smoothie Maker, an 800W 3-in-1 Hand Blender, a mini food chopper and a coffee grinder.

VonShef 750 W Food Processor

The VonShef 750W Food Processor features a generous 1.8-litre capacity blending jar – ideal for making soups and smoothies. It also features a large 1.2-litre capacity mixing bowl – perfect for creating bread dough, cake mixtures and meringues.

VonShef 750 W Food ProcessorRobust stainless steel attachments include a chopper blade, coarse and fine grater, shredder, emulsifying disc and citrus juicer attachment.

All detachable parts are easy to clean and dishwasher safe – saving further time with washing up.

My first impressions were that the machine felt quite plasticky (I prefer metal appliances) and the bowl seemed a bit too small (my older food processor had a large bowl), but in all honesty, the 1.2-litre bowl is big enough for most family recipes. I was also disappointed to see that there wasn’t a whisk attachment, but the emulsifying disc works well to whip cream and egg whites into meringues, so whisks aren’t really needed in addition. All in all, it’s pretty good value for money, I think.

This food processor is the smaller of two food processors in the Matte Black Performance Range and it is ideal for smaller kitchens without a lot of spare space. The 750W motor is powerful enough to cut through the most common fruits, vegetables and nuts used in everyday kitchens, but if you’re looking for something a bit larger and more powerful they do have a 1000W food processor too.

The VonShef 750W Food Processor has a recommended retail price of £79.99 but it’s currently on offer for only £44.99. Alternatively, Domu has very kindly offered the opportunity for one of my UK readers to win one of their 750W Food Processors, simply fill out the Rafflecopter entry form below to enter!

I regularly make homemade soups and pasta sauces. My fussy children can be instantly put off by certain vegetables (especially tomatoes) so mixing them beyond recognition is the only way to be sure they’ll be eaten and they’re getting the right nutrients in their diet.

I really love Thai salads of glass noodles and lots of chopped vegetables in a spicy dressing and this would be perfect for chopping the vegetables and making pastes. I could also chop my own lamb or pulses with spices for little shami kebabs. And it irritates me no end throwing away vegetable stalks and leaves so with a little added stock I could blend a free meal from our vegetable drawer “waste” and make an aioli to smother on toasted leftover bread to go with it.

I have a great recipe for left over Chicken or Turkey. It’s a kind of meat loaf and basically you put the Meat, bacon, stuffing, sausagemeat, bread sauce and onions in the processor, pulse it all together and pop it into a loaf tin to cook. It’s lovely, freezes well and is a great way to use up left overs
