I always put at least four tins of tomatoes in my shopping trolley when I do a supermarket shop. I find them incredibly useful for quick pasta dishes, pizza sauces and soups.
Cirio is a trusted well known Italian brand of tinned tomatoes, as well as a wide range of other tomato products. They’ve been canning tomatoes since 1856, so they know their stuff! Their tomatoes are grown in the most stunning area – you have to read Helen’s post over at Fuss Free Flavours of her visit to the Cirio growing grounds in Tuscany last year.
Quite often we rely on Italian plum tomatoes or chopped tomatoes for our recipes, but I like that Cirio grow and can other delicious types of tomato including filetti, pomodorini and datterini. Give them a go, they’ll give your usual tinned tomato recipes a delightful twist.
