Win a New Year’s Giveaway Bundle with OXO UK!

Published on December 22, 2017 by Elizabeth

Win over £65 worth of OXO UK products to help you kick-start your New Year!

OXO UK New Year Giveaway Bundle

Are you making any New Year’s resolutions this year? Any plans for more exercise, less drinking, eating more healthily? I confess that over the last two months I’ve let my fitness routine slide – it’s not as appealing to go out for cycle rides when there’s a howling gale, and then there’s that natural instinct to eat all the carbs and just hibernate some winter.

Like I do every year, I try and get back on track in the New Year. I’ve got some rather exciting plans to share with you come January, but in the meantime, I’ve got a fab giveaway for you from the fine folk at OXO UK – four super handy tools to help you get back on track after the festive season.

OXO UK Hand Held Spiraliser

OXO UK Hand Held Spiraliser

OXO Good Grips 3 Blade Hand-Held Spiralizer

Create three different sizes of vegetable noodles in a snap with OXO’s 3-Blade Hand-Held Spiralizer. From a variety of different recipes including courgette “pasta” these uniform spirals are easy to make, fun and delicious.

This Spiralizer comes with interchangeable Spaghetti Cut, Fettuccine Cut and Ribbon Cut blades that store on board. The open-blade design accommodates both long and round vegetables, and the food holder keeps hands safe and is easy to grip while turning down to the end of vegetables to minimize waste.

The BPA-free Hand-Held Spiralizer is dishwasher safe and the food holder acts as a cap for safe storage.  RRP £22

OXO UK Salad Dressing Mixer

OXO Good Grips Twist & Pour Salad Dressing Mixer

The Twist & Pour Salad Dressing Mixer takes the shake (and shout!) out of homemade salad dressing. With a wide opening for adding ingredients and convenient measurement markings, making your own dressing is simple.

A quick turn of the non-slip ring makes the bi-directional blade spin to mix thin or thick dressings; you can then pour from the drip-free spout to serve.

Two airtight seals ensure the Mixer is leakproof while mixing and keep up to 14 oz/397ml of dressing fresh in the fridge.  RRP £18

OXO Avocado Slicer

OXO Good Grips 3-In-1 Avocado Slicer

This 3-in-1 Avocado Slicer splits, pits, slices and scoops, for safe and mess-free prep.

The plastic blade smoothly cuts through avocado skin and fruit, yet isn’t sharp to the touch. The pitting tool quickly removes pits with a simple twist. The fan blade cuts fruit into perfect slices and scoops them out for serving. Made from BPA free plastic this tool is top rack dishwasher safe. RRP £8.75

OXO Good Grips Hand-Held Mandoline Slicer

Making a cucumber salad or apple tart? The Hand-Held Mandoline Slicer can help.Slide the thickness adjuster to select slice thickness, secure food to holder and slide over the stainless steel blade for perfect, even slices. The clear surface shows slices accumulating below.  RRP £16.50

I’ve got 2 on the go, one is to de-clutter and I aim to clear the house of one item every day – 3 bags have already left the house for the local hospice charity shop so I’m doing well on that front. The other one is not going so successfully, it’s to drop a dress size but I’ve had this “man flu” for 10 days so haven’t even been able to start on that one yet. One of my lovely mum’s sayings was better late than never so that’s my plan with my second resolution, bring on mid-January.

I’m not making any this year as they never last. I believe that if you are committed to doing something or making a positive change, do it anyway, not just because tradition dictates that you should on the 1st Jan. I’m looking outside and the day is grey dull and foggy. Inside the house the Christmas carols are ringing out and the festivities are well under way. Enjoy the moment.

Cooking up a storm at the edge of the world

Welcome to Elizabeth’s Kitchen Diary, Scotland’s most northerly award-winning food blog.

I’m based in the wild and remote Shetland Islands, where I’ve been sharing my adventure-fuelling recipes since 2011.

As seen on Shetland: Scotland’s Wondrous Isles on Channel 5.

“Never underestimate the power of your own story. Life may have taken unexpected turns, but it’s never too late to weave new threads of adventure into your tapestry. Keep spinning those yarns, my friend.
