Ten Shetland Instagram Accounts to Follow in 2019

Published on April 21, 2019 • Last updated May 19, 2020 by Elizabeth

These are some of my favourite Shetland Instagram accounts, in no particular order. Between them, I believe they give a wonderful snapshot of what life is like here on these wild and remote islands.

This is kismet at it’s best! I was looking for a couple of Scotland food blogs, came across yours and there was “Shetland”. We’ve been to your lovely island(s) and I’ve a friend who blogs about her life, her ponies and Icelandics/ plus BeAnne and Monster (cat and Dog) and her sheep, especially Lambie. We write and have met her and her wonderful family, but never expected to “met” another Shetland blogger until now.

Your site is great and have bookmarked it for reading during the week. Will read about the other bloggers shortly. Continued success!

It’s a small world! I know Thordale myself, and I’m delighted to hear you’ve visited our beautiful islands! 🙂 Nice to ‘meet’ you!

Welcome to Elizabeth’s Kitchen Diary, Scotland’s most northerly award-winning food blog.

I’m based in the wild and remote Shetland Islands, where I’ve been sharing my adventure-fuelling recipes since 2011.

As seen on Shetland: Scotland’s Wondrous Isles on Channel 5.

“Never underestimate the power of your own story. Life may have taken unexpected turns, but it’s never too late to weave new threads of adventure into your tapestry. Keep spinning those yarns, my friend.
