Smokey SPAM® Chilli Recipe

SPAM® Chopped Pork and Ham

sunflower oil

brown onion
finely diced

red bell peppers
diced

green bell pepper

dried pasilla chilli
rehydrated & chopped

tsp
dried oregano
freshly ground black pepper

tinned spicy bean salad

tinned chopped tomatoes
fresh coriander leaves

Instructions
Add half the oil to a deep cooking pot and fry the SPAM® Chopped Pork and Ham until it sizzles and is browned all over.
Add the remaining oil and saute the onions, garlic and peppers until softened.
Add the spices and cook for a further minute.
Add the tinned tomatoes and spicy bean salad.
Stir in the chopped poblano chilli, adding about 1/4 cup (60 ml) of the reserved soaking liquid.
Simmer for 15-20 minutes until the chilli has thickened.
