A review/giveaway in collaboration with the Gourmet Chocolate Pizza Co.
After our family Belgium Chocolate Experience weekend we have developed quite the fondness for Belgian chocolate, so when The Gourmet Chocolate Pizza Co. asked us if we’d like to taste test one of their gourmet chocolate pizzas we jumped at the chance!
The Gourmet Chocolate Pizza Company is a UK chocolatier based in Nottingham, England. They are a small artisan chocolate company making handmade premium quality chocolate gifts using the finest ingredients. Their solid Belgian chocolate pizzas are available in a variety of flavours and sizes with something to suit every occasion – they can even personalize a pizza for special occasions.
They are determined to make every chocolate lover’s dreams come true.
You can choose one of their already tried-and-tested flavour combinations like Salted Caramel with its sweet and salty caramel fudge and white chocolate rice balls on a Belgian milk chocolate base with white chocolate curls; Delightfully Dark with a 70% Belgian dark chocolate base decorated with pieces of delicious brownie biscuit, dark chocolate rice balls and a generous coating of milk chocolate curls or if you can’t decide what you want why not try their Delicious Dilemma combining six of their top selling pizza in one. Or, you could build your own like we did.
Our youngest, aged 7, had the honour of selecting the chocolate base and toppings for our pizza. You can choose from a dark chocolate, milk chocolate or a white chocolate base and add three toppings from a selection of 13 different sweet treats. Our youngest picked a milk chocolate base topped with white chocolate curls, rainbow drops and milk chocolate rice balls.
The verdict?
Scrummy!
The kids shared their gourmet pizza with friends over for a sleep over during the last week of the school holidays. It didn’t last long! The milk chocolate base was deliciously smooth and creamy and the toppings added a lovely chocolate crunch and texture to the sweet treat.
Prices for 7 inch pizzas start from £10.50 or £12 if you build your own, plus delivery (and they deliver via Royal Mail to Shetland!). If you want a larger treat they have 10 and 12 inch pizzas available too, or, if you want something a bit smaller – they offer chocolate pizza by the slice.
