In collaboration with SoundPEATS.
I make no pains to hide the fact I go through fitness fanatic phases. I tend to take a break off during the winter months when it’s too cold and wet to play outside, but as soon as the weather clears I can be found out trekking or on my mountain bike.
When I’m out walking I like to listen to my music to help pass the time, motivate me and keep the wind out of my ears.
My latest set of headphones are these rather snazzy wireless Bluetooth SoundPEATS Q12 ones. I’ve been a big fan of SoundPEATS for a few years now (in fact, as I type I’ve got a Green Day playlist on Amazon Prime music blasting out of my SoundPEATS P2 speaker) and I love that I get to try out their latest in wireless Bluetooth sound technology.
First, I love the fact that there are no long cables with these headphones to get tangled up in my hair or scarf. The earbuds fit snugly in the ear with a unique ear hook (this comes in three different sizes as do the ear buds), and when you’re not using them they simply fit together like a necklace with their magnetic feature.
Setup and pairing were quick and easy. The earphones are partially charged at the factory and they only took a few minutes’ extra charge on my laptop to power to full. Pairing instructions were easy to follow, and in no time I was out on a hill walk testing them out with System of a Down, Toxicity, playing.
The sound is fantastic! I like a nice heavy bass sound with my earphones and this set did not disappoint.
My only complaint is that they’re not particularly discreet. Although the set only weighs 15 grams, they do stick rather far out of your ears. They’re comfortable, though, so that’s ok.
Other features include the ability to sync two sets to one device, handy if you’re out running with a mate and want to listen to the same music (as long as you remain within 10 metres of each other). The headphones come with a USB charging cable, six interchangeable ear tips and ear hooks, two line buckles, one line clamp, a carrying case and a user manual. They retail for £39.99 RRP but at the time of writing, they’re on sale on Amazon for only £17.99 plus free delivery for Amazon Prime members.
