Win a Hotel Chocolat Dark Chocolate Festive Wreath RRP £22
The first time I ever tasted the delicious morsels from Hotel Chocolat was the morning of my wedding day. Leading up to Christmas 2013 the company were sending out samples of their Christmas collection, and I was delighted to have been included in the group of bloggers to receive one.
The box had been sent out on the 13th of December and it arrived on the 15th of January, too late for a Christmas review, but perfect timing for enjoying as part of a champagne and chocolate wedding day breakfast! Slow delivery times with our subcontracted couriers is all part of rural island living, but I’m delighted to say that this year’s box of Christmas review chocolates only took two days to arrive (it’s nice to see Hotel Chocolat are now using the good old reliable Royal Mail!), and oh my, what a gorgeous box of chocolates!
My box of chocolates arrived via Royal Mail tracked without any excess packaging, and in very good condition having traveled all the way from central England. I opened the cardboard box and pulled out a stylish black and white gift bag tied with a ribbon. There was even a personalized gift card attached. Opening the gift bag my chocolat box was wrapped in white tissue held closed with a sticker. Just opening the parcel was such a cheering pleasure on the dark, windy, gale-filled day we were having!
My box of chocolates was the Hotel Chocolat Classic Christmas H-Box – a collection of 14 chocolates filled with festive flavours. An elegant little menu card slotted into a sleeve in the back of the box described all the mouthwatering flavours from mince pie brownie, nutmeg almond praline, mulled wine, Christmas cake to brandy butter flavours.
I have to confess that the box didn’t last long. With my husband home on his holidays for the week and my children on their October school holidays, the box was passed around the house a few times and one by one the incredibly creamy and delicious chocolates disappeared.
The Hotel Chocolat Classic Christmas H-Box retails for £12, and a gift bag costs £2.50. Personalized gift message cards are free. All in all, as the recipient of such a gift, I have to say the whole package was rather impressive and did put a smile on my face on a wet and windy day!
Hotel Chocolat use sustainable, ethically sourced cocoa beans in their products. To find out more visit their website.
Hotel Chocolat have kindly offered my readers the chance to win one of their gorgeous Rabot 1745 dark chocolate Christmas Wreaths.
This 450 gram chocolate is inspired by a festive holly wreath and crafted from gorgeous Madagascan 72% dark chocolate. It’s studded with Marcona almonds, roasted Piedmont hazelnuts and South African golden raisins; perfect for slicing and sharing around the table with friends.
