Win a Baker Days Christmas #CakebyPost letterbox cake worth up to £18.
Can you believe it’s only a month now until Christmas morning?
I haven’t even begun to think about Christmas preparations! However, I had my very first taste of Christmas cake yesterday thanks to the lovely folk over at Baker Days.
They are a small UK company based on the edge of Sherwood Forest and they produce a wide range of personalized celebration cakes for all occasions – including Christmas!
Their innovative #cakebypost letterbox cake is 12 cm in diameter and 2.5 cm deep, serving either one, generously, or up to four. The perfect sized cake for fitting through a letterbox!
Their cakes come in five different flavours, hand made to order: vanilla sponge, chocolate chip sponge with Belgian chocolate, fruit cake, gluten free and dairy free.
We tried out the personalized fruit cake with the Christmas Robins and Holly design. First impressions when I opened the box? Big silly grin!
I’m a big fan of tins, so imagine my delight to find the cake was securely stored in an adorable little reusable tin with Just for You written on the top. There was also a gift card and a Christmas cracker (much to the delight of my children).
The cake had arrived unscathed across the 200 miles of stormy seas to reach our letterbox here in Shetland, and when it came time for the official taste test both my husband and I were mightily impressed. This cake really did taste like something I’d have made at home.
Prices for these #cakebypost letterbox cakes start from £14.99 with next day delivery.
