Blue Coffee Box Subscription Review

Win a 3 Month Subscription from Blue Coffee Box

Published on November 20, 2017 • Last updated March 23, 2018 by Elizabeth Atia

In collaboration with Blue Coffee Box.

Blue Coffee Box Subscription Review

Did you know that there is an entire world of coffee that most of us have never experienced?

Speciality coffee is single-origin or micro-lot coffee that scores over 80% on the SCAA quality cupping scale and covers just the top 10% of coffees in the world.

In the UK, 65% of us still drink instant coffee and the quality is very low. In Europe, only 2% of people still drink instant coffee and in the USA it’s only 7%. Freshly roasted coffee is the way forward for the ultimate coffee experience.

Blue Coffee Box Subscription Review

For UK coffee lovers, a Blue Coffee Box subscription is a veritable world tour of speciality coffee. Members inform Blue Coffee Box of their favourite coffee preferences while their Coffee Concierges choose the best coffees from over 17 countries around the world.

Each month, Blue Coffee Box send a letterbox-friendly blue (unsurprisingly!) box containing three bags of freshly roasted coffee with tasting notes and information of the origin and farm where the coffee is produced.

Three new roasters are introduced every month from the top of the UK’s 300 or so craft roasters that hand-roast the beans. These are freshly roasted every week and members can select how they are prepared; whole beans or ground for cafetiere, dripper or espresso.

The Blue Coffee Box Founders

Harvey and Jon Butt and are the son and father team and they both love good coffee.

Jon is a seasoned entrepreneur and a leader in the fire safety industry. During Jon’s business travels in the USA, he discovered speciality coffee subscriptions curated from various niche coffee roasters. Harvey suggested setting up something similar in the UK and in 2017 Blue Coffee Box was born.

As a start-up company, it is growing fast.

Blue Coffee Box membership starts at only £7.99 per month (or even less for 3, 6 or 12-month advanced payment) and members can cancel, pause, skip or upgrade anytime they want.
Enter the exclusive discount code EK518 to receive £5 off your first order, including all subscriptions and gifts.

For more information, visit the Blue Coffee Box website, and follow them on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

My favourite coffee moment is first thing in the morning – waking up somewhere with a great view (say through the window of a campervan while on holiday) and smelling the freshly made coffee. I have the whole bed to myself as hubby has got up to make the coffee and I drink in the aroma, before shifting to the middle of the bed, ready to savour the best drink of the day.
