We Should Cocoa - Chocolates & Truffles

This month I have the honour of hosting We Should Cocoa, a monthly food blogging challenge by Choclette from Chocolate Log Blog which tasks us to make some sort of delectable dish involving everyone's favourite ingredient: chocolate!

Now I do realise some of you may be shaking in your boots at what theme I may select to pair with chocolate, and I can assure you all it will not be seaweed! Ha ha! :)  This month I challenge you all to make and share recipes for chocolates. This can be the traditional moulded and filled chocolate for some of you braver bakers, or something as easy as a chocolate coated truffle. Chocolate bark, puddles, filled chocolates, solid chocolates, truffles, any of these will be accepted with one stipulation: they have to be no bigger than three bites in size!

The usual rules apply:

1. Post your recipe on your blog – accompanying photographs would be nice. Make sure to include the challenge badge above.
2. Mention “We Should Cocoa” in your post and link back to Chocolate Log Blog and to this page.
3. Please link your blog post up to the linky below or e-mail us the link to your submission (one only per challenge please) and include: your name, the name of your blog, your recipe title and a photograph (please can you make these no bigger than 640 x 480 pixels) to: weshouldcocoa@yahoo.co.uk
4. Entries should be submitted no later than midnight of the 25th of the month.
5. The round up of entries will be posted on my blog on or before the last day of the month.
6. The new challenge will be posted on the 1st of the month.
7. If mentioning on Twitter, you can use the tag #weshouldcocoa and include @Choclette8 and @TangoRaindrop and we will endeavour to retweet all we see.
8. Please feel free to add your entry to the We Should Cocoa group board on Pinterest. If you are not already a member and would like to join, please ask Choclette.

Now, for some possible inspiration?

Don't forget to check out last month's We Should Cocoa round up by Choclette herself which was all about ice cream. I also would like to thank the Shetland Fudge Company who so kindly turned all their trays of gorgeous handmade chocolates around so I could take a photo to share with you all for this challenge!

I look forward to seeing what you create!

  1. Goodness, this one is going to be interesting. The last time I made chocolates I got in an awful mess but even if the same thing happens again at least the result should (hopefully) taste nice!
